Start Your Day with a Laugh

It’s more convenient than ever to find and enjoy well-written humor and comedy at any time of day or night. Here are a few of the websites with material that at times has me laughing out loud and at other times gagging at their grossness. They also teach a lot about what makes people laugh and what some writers think is funny.

Comedy Central is usually my first visit while I enjoy my first cup of coffee. It offers clips of all  the hot shows plus full episodes of The Daily Show with  Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report with–guess who?– Stephen Colbert.

Next, I have my speed dial set on Jokes.com where you can sample material of some of the hottest comics on the scene and those just making the scene.

Another favorite spot is HuLu where you can enjoy full length versions of many of the best shows that TV has aired.

Once in a while I visit Funny Or Die which is really edgy.  They present a lot of great comedy, but I marvel at some of the crotch-grabbing, puking, farting, wise-ass insulting stuff that they often feature.  But, it’s all stuff that some people (and those who write it) think is funny.

Anyway, there’s a great deal of material available at the flick of a mouse whenever you need a laugh or examples of both good and bad comedy.
